Perfect weekend: Rangers

Rangers haven’t been able to ensure consistency in the current campaign as they find themselves floating adrift in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.

Indeed, the Bluenoses have been a huge disappointment in the league so far this season as their title hopes appear to be slipping away, with Steven Gerrard struggling to come up with the answers.

Although, the Glasgow side will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on an in-form Hearts side at Ibrox this weekend. Rangers have the opportunity to snap Hearts’ unbeaten streak in what could be a season-defining match, with their title hopes on the line.

Of course, picking up maximum points and title rivals slipping up would be the ideal situation.

CELTIC DROP POINTS

Rangers failed to secure all three points in the first Old Firm clash of the current campaign, which forced the Bluenoses to take a backseat in the race for the title.

Indeed, the Hoops are currently one position and two points ahead of Gerrard’s side in the table, so seeing a Celtic loss this weekend would put supporters in a fine mood.

A victory against Hearts and a Celtic loss would be huge in the Bluenoses’ race for the title as it puts them right back in the hunt after a disappointing few weeks.

ALFREDO MORELOS DOWNS HEARTS

Rangers will be hoping that Alfredo Morelos doesn’t lose any confidence after missing out on a call-up to the Colombian national side recently. Indeed, the South American has been banging in the goals for the Bluenoses so far this season, but his efforts weren’t good enough to earn the nod from Arturo Ernesto Reyes Montero.

However, the forward could make a real big statement if he fires his team to victory against league leaders Hearts in front of home support this weekend.

So, supporters could be in for a double-whammy, with a Morelos masterclass and a boost in the race for the title making it the perfect weekend.
