Poch wanted: Two Tottenham stars he should bring to Man United if he ends up there

Manchester United fans here in the Tavern haven’t enjoyed recent performances under Jose Mourinho, as Spurs ran riot in a 2-0 win over the Red Devils.

Indeed, it’s been a season filled with inconsistency for Jose Mourinho’s side as the Red Devils have failed to replicate the brilliance of yesteryear, with them now struggling to overcome an unassailable lead produced by bitter rivals Manchester City at the Premier League summit. However, with them still in contention for Champions League glory and a top-four spot now the main aim, fans won’t exactly view this season as an absolute disaster for United.

Especially after welcoming South American superstar Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford during the January transfer window, as social media was sent into meltdown after fans caught news of the signing.

However, it’s a managerial change that’s been brought to the attention of fans in recent times, as Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been identified as the ideal successor for Jose at Old Trafford. Indeed, it’s a move that would reap all kind of benefits for England’s most successful club, as life under Mourinho seems to bring things to a standstill.

Nevertheless, should Pochettino manage to make the switch to Manchester then here’s TWO Tottenham stars he should bring along with him…

Christian Eriksen

The 25-year-old has been one of Spurs’ superstars in previous seasons gone by as he continues to establish himself as one of the Premier League’s most potent attackers. Indeed, offering a very versatile game that brings both goals and assists to Wembley Stadium, with creativity, dribbling and shooting all being aspects that the Danish international excels in. And, in a Tottenham side that enjoyed one of their best starts to a season in the history of the club, the tricky Dane was the mastermind behind it all.

Indeed, after Pochettino hailed Eriksen after his performance in the win over Manchester United, there’s no doubt that the Argentine would love to bring him to Old Trafford if he makes the move. And, with the midfielder currently loving life under Mauricio Pochettino, Manchester United may have the upper-hand in bypassing Juventus and Barcelona’s interest.

Danny Rose

There’s no doubt that Danny Rose is one of England’s best defensive outlets as a rising star down the left-hand side of defence, with attackers often dreading coming up against the 27-year-old as one of the most difficult defenders to overcome. Indeed, he’s managed to keep many of the world’s best forward players in his pocket during his time with Spurs, as he’ll now look to insert his dominance on the international stage this summer in Russia.

However, it hasn’t always been the best of times for the defender at Wembley Stadium this season, after failing to make the North London Derby squad earlier this year due to coming back from an injury. Something that caused a falling out with the Argentine after the England international let his hunger and desire to play in the big matches get in the way of their relationship. However, since then things seem to have been flattened out between the pair as he continues to be an important part of the squad.

But with Manchester United having already submitted interest in the defender prior to the January transfer window, there’s no doubt that he’s a man that the Argentine would love to bring along with him should he join.
