Spurs fans here in the Tavern are set to become even more agitated after a recent occurrence has provoked a wary response from fans.
Tottenham’s incredible start to the season can mainly be put down to the performances of some of their star men; Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung Min Son.
For the England prodigy, his ability has come on leaps and bounds under Mauricio Pochettino, with visible improvements signalling the development of this young man, who has taken the Premier League by storm since joining from MK Dons.
Having managed to be at the forefront of 7 goals and 6 assists already this season, it’s brought a sense of world acknowledgement with his name being placed on the shortlist for the UEFA Team of the Year, in among players he would have idolized growing up in Milton Keynes.
However, over the past month the youngster has been under the public eye, after Spain’s giants have come to play, with Barcelona and Real Madrid wanting to secure the services of the talented midfielder. Barely a surprise.
Surely, for a player at the start of his career an opportunity to play with the world’s best players must be too good to pass up?
With the links surrounding their star midfielder, a certain Heung Min Son may finally be able to stake his claim on a permanent place in the side, to show Mauricio Pochettino why all the fuss should be surrounded around him.
So without any hesitation, here’s a look at TWO reasons as to why Heung Min Son can eradicate any potential Alli woes…
Match-winning abilities

Heung Min Son, whether its making or creating goals, in every game he plays for the Spurs side he always seems to make something happen.
Providing vital goals in the dying embers of matches are what creates the superstars of the modern game that everyone loves to see. In the Lilywhites’ recent European and domestic games against Borrusia Dortmund and Crystal Palace, it was the Korean that showed his class once again to come up with the goods with a couple of last-gasp stunning winners for this Spurs side.
So although Dele Alli has been vital at times in games, its been down to this man to grind out the recent results that would have fans clutching at straws had he not delivered.
Goal-scoring comparison

Pundits here in the Tavern are all raving about the goal-scoring knack that Alli has given for this Spurs side, but nobody seems to rave about the position that Son has put Pochettino and his team in.
Indeed, in amounting the North London clubs highest ever finish in the white shirt last season the noticeable stars were Dele Alli and Harry Kane, who carried the vast majority of the plaudits for their 20 goals that season.
However, Korean Heung Min Son enjoyed an arguably more potent season than the highly rated youngster, after scoring 21 goals in all competitions, while Alli managed to net 22 times. But the interesting factor about these stats is that Son was able to complete the achievement in 12 fewer games than Spurs’ golden child, meaning he evidently possessed a more important touch in the Spurs side, yet punters in the pub were never raving about him.
So now with a potential Alli departure, the torch can be passed into the welcoming arms of the Tottenham attacker.
Spurs fans, thoughts?
