Adrien Rabiot has established his status as one of Europe’s most accomplished central midfielders during his time with PSG and the punters in the Transfer Tavern would love to see him in England.
While considering the vast amount of money that PSG spends every transfer window, it is exceedingly rare to see a young player successfully establish themselves as an important member of the first-team. However, this is precisely what Adrien Rabiot has achieved in the French Capital.
The Frenchman graduated from PSG’s reserve team, and he’s made 164 senior appearances for the Parisian team, scoring a decent total of 19 goals. Allegedly, he’s been a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham for a considerable period, yet they could lose out on 22-year-old.
Calciomercato (via talkSPORT) report that Inter Milan are also vying to sign the French international whose contract expires in June 2019. This increased competition could hinder any potential deal that the North London clubs were preparing.
This has proved bad news for the punters propping up our bar, who were arguing over where best the French U21 international suited in north London.
Landlord’s verdict
Rabiot is a truly fantastic player, able to influence the game in both defensive and attacking areas. Despite his age, he’s won every domestic honour during his time with PSG and his presence would augment the quality of most teams in Europe. It certainly would be damaging to Tottenham or Arsenal’s transfer business if they were to lose such a decorated target.
