Life’s been going pretty well for the Chelsea fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern of late, with Antonio Conte proving his worth as one of the world’s most revered tacticians at Stamford Bridge.
For the Blues toasting his impact in west London, the former Juventus and Italy coach can seemingly do wrong, even giving recent reports from the Daily Telegraph a positive spin.
They claim the 47-year-old has struck up a friendship with capital counterpart Slaven Bilic, having met with West Ham twice already this season, one that could prove fruitful for both in terms of transfer deals.
The Hammers are reportedly keen on some of Conte’s talent and the report suggests burgeoning duo Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dominic Solanke could be of interest to those in east London.
Neither have broken the first-team in SW6 often enough, despite the former largely being touted as one of their most promising youth prospects to date.
While the Blues are thought to be eager to keep a hold of them, especially Loftus-Cheek, a January loan deal could be on the cards.
While it must be said that younger talents are getting more of a chance under Conte, the Irons are thought to be eager to take the two on loan going forward.
Striker Solanke is understood to be embroiled in a contract dispute with the club and the Blues here in the Tavern believe some time away would help both develop into the sort of players they so desperately want them to be.
