Celtic have been hugely impressive in the current campaign as they continue to strive towards securing yet another treble, with Rangers struggling to keep up.
The Hoops managed to secure all three points against Hamilton Academical yesterday in what was a very dominant performance from Brendan Rodgers’ side.
However, the Northern Irishman’s future remains uncertain, as according to the Telegraph, Leicester City have identified Brendan Rodgers as the leading candidate to replace Claude Puel.
Indeed, Claude Puel was relieved of his duties as Leicester City boss yesterday, and it appears as if the Premier League club have immediately turned their attention towards Rodgers.
Leicester believe Rodgers’s track record in the Premier League, after three years with Liverpool, his reputation as a progressive coach and ability to develop young players make him the ideal choice.
Brendan Rodgers has worked wonders at Celtic over the years and he remains on course for yet another treble in the current campaign, so the Hoops will be desperate to keep him.
Although, a return to the Premier League may tempt Rodgers as he thrived during his time at Liverpool and it would provide him with the platform to grow in one of Europe’s best leagues.
