Many Liverpool fans have been heavily critical towards the club over the lack of progress with Georginio Wijnaldum and a possible new contract.
The 30-year-old’s future at Anfield has looked uncertain all season with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

According to the Liverpool Echo (via Anfield Watch), a new contract for the Dutchman does not appear to be on the horizon but he is no less important to manager Jurgen Klopp – having made 21 appearances in all competition.
Inter Milan have recently been linked with a move for Wijnaldum, who will be entitled to take the £36m-rated star on a free transfer if a new deal cannot be agreed.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were not happy with the club delaying the proceedings, with some suggesting that he deserves a new contract on Merseyside after what he has achieved with Liverpool.
