Lots of Liverpool fans have been reacting to their enthralling win over Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night, and some have taken issue with the performance of Roberto Firmino.
The Reds cruised through to the last 16 of the Champions League in style thanks to goals from Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah, but it wasn’t all plain sailing in Austria.
Alisson Becker was forced into a sensational double save in the first-half before Salah missed a chance you’d expect him to tuck away 99 times out of 100, but Keita opened the scoring shortly after the break.
Salah then atoned for a couple of misses with a wonderful finish from a tight angle, but that hasn’t shifted any negativity away from some of the attacking play, with Firmino taking criticism from some sections of the Anfield faithful.
Per Sofascore, the 28 year-old lost possession 15 times in the match, although he did win nine out of nine ground duels.
