Liverpool: Fans think Steven Gerrard will succeed Jurgen Klopp as Reds manager after contract news

On the day that Liverpool confirmed a contract extension for manager Jurgen Klopp to keep him at the club until 2024, a former Anfield stalwart did likewise elsewhere.
Steven Gerrard, who captained the Reds to Champions League glory in 2005 and made 710 appearances for the club across 17 seasons, signed a new contract at Rangers that will take his managerial stint at the club up to 2024 (as per Sky Sports).
Would Takumi Minamino be a good addition to this Liverpool side?
Yes

No

The 39-year-old was in charge of Liverpool’s under-18 side before moving to his current job in Scotland and also managed the Reds’ under-19s in the UEFA Youth League a couple of seasons ago, guiding them to the quarter-finals of that competition.
Gerrard worked with a number of players who have gone on to represent Liverpool’s first team, including Ben Woodburn, Curtis Jones, Rhian Brewster and Neco Williams, while at Rangers he oversaw their first win in a Glasgow derby against Celtic in more than six years and has them just two points off the Premiership summit and in the last 32 of the Europa League.
These Liverpool fans on Twitter think that Gerrard is fated to take over from Klopp at Anfield, with both managers today signing new deals up to 2024:
So when his Rangers contract ends in 2024, Gerrard will take over 11 times European Champions 🤩

Gerrard and Klopp's contract expiring at the same time is purely coincidental. But….if it comes to the point if Stevie has been successful at Rangers, I'd still want Klopp to stay.
If he opts to leave, then Gerrard would be a perfect replacement. #LFC

After giving up all hopes of having #Klopp at the helm beyond 2022, this comes as a pleasant surprise
Chuffed to the bits! Thanks @John_W_Henry
Earlier today, Gerrard signed an extension with Rangers until 2024

With #Klopp & #Gerrard both signing new deals until 2024, it's pretty much nailed on that Gerrard succeeds Klopp @LFC that year I'd say. Planning.

Gerrard and Klopp both extending to 2024? It’s done. #LFC

it's no coincidence that both Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard have extended there contracts to 2024. It's a plan. Michael Edwards already has the whole thing mapped out to 2030 #LFC #Klopp #Gerrard #YNWA
