Loads of Liverpool fans want to sign Takumi Minamino, after the 24 year-old impressed in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.

The Reds were certainly given a run for their money in their clash with Red Bull Salzburg, as the Austrian outfit’s attacking prowess was on full display.

It wasn’t goalscoring machine Erling Haaland who impressed though, as the ever-imperious Virgil van Dijk kept the towering striker quiet.

Instead, Hwang Hee-chan and Minamino shone, with the latter in particular catching the eyes of many Reds fans.

Per Whoscored, the 24 year-old registered two shots, three key passes and two successful dribbles.

Many fans are now urging the Reds to sign the Japan international, with some pointing to the traits he shares with Roberto Firmino.

Both players are versatile attackers who focus more on creating for their teammates than scoring themselves, and they both possess immense work rates, with one fan even saying Minamino is “such a Jurgen Klopp player”.
