Southampton: Fans call for Neil Warnock after Cardiff City exit

Cardiff City have parted company with Neil Warnock after three years.

The ex-Sheffield United boss guided the Welsh outfit to the Premier League in 2018, but they were relegated after just one season back in the top-flight at the end of last season.

The Bluebirds currently sit 14th in the Championship after 16 games, and on Sunday were defeated 1-0 by rivals Bristol City on home soil. They have won just one of their previous six games.

Warnock quit his role as manager, and it now looks as though the 70-year-old will retire from the game – something he has previously spoken about doing on numerous occasions.

Southampton fans currently find themselves in disarray after witnessing their side’s abysmal start to the campaign. The Saints have won just two of their opening 12 league games and sit second bottom in the Premier League as things stand.

It has led to many fans calling for manager Ralph Hasenhuttl to be sacked, with some jokingly suggesting that the club should hire Warnock as his replacement…

Saints fans, could you imagine if you genuinely appointed Warnock?
