Tottenham fans have it tough when it comes to signings, and that much is common knowledge. This summer things are set to change, and with a number of areas needing reinforcements, work has to be done. One of those areas is up front and Mercato365 claim that Lyon’s Moussa Dembele is being scouted a Harry Kane back up.

According to the French outlet, Manchester United and Arsenal also had scouts at the game watching the Frenchman as he featured for Lyon against Bordeaux on Friday. If Tottenham could bring the striker in it would be a quality addition to the current squad, especially considering the Lilywhites have just Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente as their stand-ins for Harry Kane at the moment.
Whilst Dembele would be a top signing, he may not be a cheap one. It was less than a year ago that Celtic cashed in on the Frenchman when Lyon forked out a tidy sum of just under £20 million for his services. That money looks to have been well spent too, as Dembele has rewarded the Lyon higher-ups who put their money and trust in him with a return of 13 goals and five assists this season and if he was to go he’d command a fee higher than what they paid for him almost 12 months ago.

Should’ve pushed it through when he left Fulham!

Probably just should have brought him from Fulham for £6mill when we had the chance……

Might be wrong but I’m sure he counts as homegrown as well because of his time at Fulham and his age?

Levy must act this summer ! New stadium and a near disastrous end to our season will hopefully wake him up a bit

Will be nice to have him as a backup striker. Would still prefer Ndombele along side Sissoko next season though, dream transfer.

The Lilywhites would love to bring in Dembele this summer, although they’ll need more than just the one backup striker to come in to keep them happy.
