Tottenham scouts spotted watching AEK Athens duo

Tottenham Hotspur are already thought to be looking at possible transfer targets, with the club’s scouts having been spotted.

According to a report by Sportime in Greece, Spurs were spotted watching AEK Athens pair Vasilios Barkas and Konstantinos Galanopoulos in action against Benfica on Tuesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on adding to his squad after failing to do so in the summer and the Greek duo are thought to be high on his wishlist.

Barkas is a tall goalkeeper that has represented Greece at international level and helped guide AEK to the title last season.

Galanopoulos is considered to be one of the most promising rising prospects to come out of the country for some time and Spurs are thought to be keeping an eye on his progress.

The Verdict:

Tottenham will be keen to add a number of players to their squad, although it remains to be seen if they will make moves for the duo in January.

Barkas could look to replace Vorm, whilst also challenge Hugo Lloris for the number one spot in the future, as his stock continues to rise within the game.

Galanopoulos could benefit from continuing his career under Pochettino, as the manager has managed to develop a number of great talents during his time at Spurs.
