Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans were shocked by Mauricio Pochettino’s comment about Tanguy Ndombele

Tanguy Ndombele was brought on for the final 27 minutes of Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 loss against Liverpool as the team looked to get back on level terms.
Will this be Mauricio Pochettino's last season at Tottenham?
Yes

No

Despite being unable to prevent the loss, the 22-year-old was impressive when he came on, with this being especially evident due to the fact that he made two key passes, which puts him joint-level with Danny Rose with the biggest contribution in this area during the game, as per WhoScored.
This led to one reporter asking Mauricio Pochettino about the Frenchman’s performance in the post-game press conference:
Reporter: “What did you make of Tanguy Ndombele’s positive contribution after coming on in the second half against Liverpool?”

However, the Spurs manager was not as full of praise for the substitute as may have been expected, as he seemed very reluctant to give Ndombele any credit at all for what he did on the pitch.
This has left many Spurs fans confused, with some feeling that he has lost the plot, while another fan has questioned his tactics regarding player motivation.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the comment, including posts from unimpressed Spurs fans, can be seen below:
