West Ham United: Fans tear into Aaron Cresswell after stat emerges

West Ham United: Fans tear into Aaron Cresswell after stat emerges - West Ham

A number of West Ham United fans have torn into Aaron Cresswell on Twitter after a stat emerged regarding his cross completion rate.

According to West Ham Transfers on the social media site, the left-back has a completion rate of just 13.9% which is thought to be the lowest amongst all the other players in the full-back position currently in the Premier League. That claim, however has been debated by a couple of fans who quoted Squawka’s data that suggests Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka as individual’s who have a lower percentage.

Indeed, that statistic appears to have riled up many of the club’s faithful, with some of them going on to criticise the 30-year-old and state that they felt he was far from good enough to play for the London Stadium outfit.

Perhaps they have a point as well, considering his individual match data does not exactly shine a bright light on his performances this season.

WhoScored’s data might show that he has three goals to his name, however Cresswell has only managed to achieve a match rating of just 6.62 in his 23 Premier League appearances. Maybe that figure is a little on the low side, considering he has managed to achieve an average of 1.6 total tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 1.9 clearances.

Nonetheless, it seems many of the West Ham faithful still clearly feel he is far from good enough to be playing for the London Stadium outfit and have shared their negative views about the 30-year-old on Twitter.

Here are just some of them…
