French giants Paris Saint-Germain have failed in a bid to sign Anderson on loan from Manchester United yesterday, according to the Daily Mail.
The deal was believed to have failed over PSG’s reluctance to pay Anderson’s £40,000 a week wages. The Brazilian midfielder, 21, has been out of favour recently after Sir Alex Ferguson fined him £80,000 for skipping training and taking an unauthorised trip to Brazil. Anderson was not named in the squad for United’s last two games.
Lyon were linked with a move for Anderson last week, with rumours of a swap deal involving Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris. Brazilian club Vasco de Gama were also linked with a move for the midfielder in January.
Anderson arrived at Old Trafford from Porto in 2007 for £18 million but has been struggled for United, scoring only one goal in 54 appearances.
Is there any substance to this? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
