Paris Saint-Germain’s recent 8-2 aggregate demolition of Chelsea in the Champions League underlined just how devastating their attack already is.
With Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué all at their disposal, Luis Enrique boasts one of the most dangerous forward lines in Europe.
Even so, the French champions are not standing still.
Despite their wealth of attacking talent, it appears PSG are still exploring ways to strengthen — and a Manchester United forward has now emerged on their radar ahead of the summer window.
PSG Monitoring Rashford
Marcus Rashford’s future is becoming increasingly uncertain, with fresh doubts emerging over whether Barcelona will complete a permanent move for the Manchester United attacker.
There had been an expectation at Old Trafford that the Spanish giants would trigger their option to sign Rashford, believed to be worth around £26 million.
However, that now looks far less certain, with concerns over finances complicating the situation.
One source explained to Caught Offside: “Barcelona are backtracking on Rashford now. It’s still not clear if they’ve closed the door entirely or if they’ll try to negotiate a lower fee, or if Rashford himself might have to lower his wage demands.”
With Barcelona hesitating, other top clubs are now closely monitoring developments. Paris Saint-Germain are among those showing interest, alongside AC Milan, with both sides long-term admirers of the England international.
There is also reported frustration within Manchester United, as a deal once seen as straightforward now appears far more complicated. Barcelona’s financial limitations have opened the door for rivals to enter the race, potentially sparking a bidding battle in the coming months.
Rashford — previously described as “unbelievable” by Barca boss Hansi Flick — is unlikely to be short of suitors if he does become available. However, his situation remains fluid, particularly with Barcelona still weighing up whether they can make a deal work.
With PSG now circling and Barcelona’s stance unclear, Rashford’s future looks wide open heading into the summer. Whether he stays at Manchester United or secures a move elsewhere, one thing is certain — he will be one of the most talked-about names in the upcoming transfer window.
