Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have let our a large groan after hearing reports that they face stiff competition in the chase for a dream striker signing.
TalkSport state Paris Saint-Germain have put Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski top of their wish-list, as they eye a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic; who’s contract expires at the end of the season.
Dubbed as a dream striking target for Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal, the chances of Lewandowski moving to England were always slim- but the emergence of PSG on the market makes things nigh-impossible.
Whilst Bayern will not want to sell the in-form forward, PSG are determined to replace superstar Ibrahimovic with another world-class striker as the French outfit set their sights on European dominance.
PSG have plenty of funds available to entice Bayern into a sale, in what would probably be the biggest transfer coup of the year.
Punters at the bar have declared they would prefer to see Lewandowski stay in Bavaria, as they don’t like PSG’s approach of throwing cash around to lure big targets to the French capital.
