Queens Park Rangers: Fans disagree with Lee Hoos over strongly-worded opposition to Championship restart

The strongly-worded statement by QPR chief executive Lee Hoos voicing his displeasure at the proposed 20 June resumption date for the Championship has sparked a reaction from plenty of R’s fans – many of whom disagree with the club’s CEO.

The Hoops’ official website qpr.co.uk published quotes from Hoos saying that he was “absolutely appalled” by the decision to resume the season later this month, believing that players will not have had nearly enough time to get up to match fitness. His comments were also shared by the club’s Twitter channel @QPR.

Hoos added that there was “absolutely no consultation” between the EFL and key stakeholders before the restart date was announced and claimed that R’s manager Mark Warburton shared his opposition to going back playing in just 18 days’ time. [via qpr.co.uk]

QPR currently sit 13th in the Championship table but are just six points behind sixth-placed Preston with nine matches to play (as per TransferMarkt), therefore giving them a realistic chance of getting into the play-offs if they can finish the season strongly.

These R’s fans on Twitter didn’t agree with Hoos on the matter and are looking forward to the return of Championship football:
