Queens Park Rangers produced a brilliant comeback to secure a 3-2 win against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday (via BBC Sport).
The R’s found themselves 1-0 down after 29 minutes, but a Ryan Manning goal just before half-time levelled things up.
They were then awarded two penalties in the second half after Eberechi Eze was brought down twice, and he managed to hold his nerve on both occasions, slotting home both spot kicks to put Rangers 3-1 up. Hull got a late consolation, but it was too little too late.
It means that Mark Warburton’s side have moved up to fifth place in the Championship table, just three points adrift of first place (BBC Sport).
Plenty of QPR players came out of the game with a lot of credit, but there was one player in particular who fans were raving about and it was Eze.
Not only did the 21-year-old score twice and win both penalties, but he also played five key passes, completed seven dribbles, made two tackles and one interception on a busy afternoon which saw him finish with a perfect 10.00 match rating (via WhoScored).
R’s fans can’t get enough of Eze right now, here is what some of them were saying about him on Twitter after the game…
Best player in the league. No question
