The Rs recorded a 2-0 win against the promotion contenders and picked up their first win in eight when Eberechi Eze netted a brace with a goal in each half as Mark Warburton’s side look to try and start gaining some momentum once again after a disappointing run of form.
Indeed, the 21-year-old played a vital role in making sure the hosts had the opportunity to take all three points as he put in a solid all-around performance that had fans raving on Twitter.
According to the individual stats collected by WhoScored, Osayi-Samuel managed to take two shots at Preston’s goal, working Declan Rudd once, however it appeared his defensive display may have won him more plaudits. The youngster made three tackles as he earned himself a match rating of 7.55.
Having taken to the social network to post his own personal praise to some of his team-mates and a message to the fans, many had stated that they had felt the 21-year-old was deserving of his own recognition, with some even claiming he deserved to be the man of the match.
