It was a fairly miserable day for the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern yesterday. Indeed, our local Light Blues watched their side crash out of the League Cup at the semi-final stage, at the expense of Motherwell.
There will be no Old Firm in the final at Hampden Park next month, much to the annoyance of the Gers drowning their sorrows in our bar today. To make matters worse, the man who put them out has previously been touted as a potential Ibrox target.
Motherwell forward Louis Moult put on a masterclass yesterday and scored both goals in a 2-0 for his side just months after his links with a move to Rangers. Obviously not put off by the transfer talk, the 25-year-old thrilled supporters with a brace yesterday, rubbing salt into the wounds of our local Light Blues.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to Louis Moult’s performance yesterday.
Rangers could have had Louis Moult for less than they payed for Herrera…..

Rangers summer recruitment continues to baffle. Eduardo Herrera earns around THIRTEEN times what Louis Moult does. Let that sink in…

Mind that time Rangers refused to spend more cash on Louis Moult or Jamie Walker but paid a combined £3.5 million for Pena and Herrera?

When people say “Louis Moult is not Rangers standard” but think Josh Windass is good when we signed him from the bottom league in England
