Queens Park Rangers fans had every right to be frustrated at the weekend following their 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough – though these supporters seem to have taken pleasure from one player getting themselves suspended.
The Hoops came from behind to lead 2-1 before Nahki Wells’ backpass gifted Britt Assombalonga the chance to score his second of the game and salvage a point for the visitors – who had not scored in the four games prior to their visit to W12.
To add to the team’s misery, midfielder Geoff Cameron picked up his fifth yellow card of the season – and will miss the trip to Fulham in the process.
However, some fans weren’t too disappointed at the 34-year-old’s suspension, with those responding to the confirmation of his ban seeming rather relieved that the American – filling in at centre-back in a Rangers back-five – would sit out the approaching London derby after the international break.
Here’s how some QPR supporters responded to the news after a frustrating afternoon at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium:
Not convinced by him at all, to me this is not a great loss

Phenomenal at midfield but not in the back line so far this season in my opinion

Thank god for that.
