Queens Park Rangers manager Michael Beale is on the shortlist to take over at Wolves, Football Insider report.

The Lowdown: Solid start

Beale left his position as Aston Villa assistant over the summer to take his first senior management role with the Hoops. The 42-year-old has enjoyed a good start in the Championship, winning seven of his 14 second-tier games so far.

Another victory at home against Cardiff City this evening could take the club into the automatic places, but it looks like Beale is a target at Molineux.

The Latest: Wolves interest

FI reporter Dylan Childs shared a story on Tuesday lunchtime after the site were informed by ‘sources’.

They claimed that Wolves want a new manager as soon as possible and have Beale on their shortlist after his impressive start with The R’s.

The Verdict: A worry

There have been plenty of managerial changes in the top two divisions already this season, so it doesn’t exactly come as a shock that Beale is a wanted man after his fine start to life in management.

It is a worry, though, as the lure of a top job in the Premier League could be too good to turn down despite pushing for promotion with QPR.

Hopefully, Wolves will look elsewhere in their pursuit of Bruno Lage’s successor, but it seems at this moment in time that there could be a possibility of a move to the Midlands for Beale.
