With the current sporting calendar having been brought to a halt across the world, some Rangers fans have been getting their fix of enjoyment from videos being posted on Twitter to remind them of some of the happier times involving their club.
Indeed, one of the latest clips to have emerged on the social media site was of their triumph against Rapid Vienna last season at Ibrox which helped them to go top of their group after just two matchdays (as per BBC).
Steven Gerrard’s side had fallen behind however a double from Alfredo Morelos and a late penalty from James Tavernier were enough to give the Glaswegians all three points on the night in front of the crowd.
The video clip that was shared to Twitter by Michael Seafarer showed the Colombian latching onto a well-executed and classy flick by Daniel Candeias in the final moments of stoppage time to seal the victory and set off wild scenes of jubilation amongst the Rangers’ faithful in the Ibrox stands and on the touchline.
Despite the encounter having happened in October 2018, it appears many of the Bluenoses’ support still enjoy seeing the footage, with one ‘buzzing’ by the time the video comes to an end. Some stated that they felt the atmosphere was ‘electric’, whilst one mentioned that Morelos had looked ‘fit’ at the time – perhaps amid the anger some have had regarding his fitness levels recently.
Here are what just some of the Rangers fans had to say about the video…
