Rangers fans were discussing Davie Cooper’s strike against Aberdeen during the League Cup final back in 1987.
In a pulsating encounter, Gers found themselves a goal down inside the opening nine minutes after a strike from Jim Brett. However, Cooper soon had them on levels terms after striking a quite sensational free-kick into the top left-hand corner (via Rangers). It proved a crucial equaliser as the Glasgow outfit went on to lift the trophy following a 5-3 win on penalties.

Overall, the former Scotland international had a quite sensational career with the Ibrox outfit, making over 550 appearances and scoring 79 goals during his 13 seasons at the club (via Fitba Stats). He was lauded by former colleague Derek Johnstone, who claimed Cooper was the best player he ever played with.
