Rangers struggled against Hearts in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.

One player who many feel the game passed by was Glen Kamara, the Finnish international midfielder having an ineffective game at both ends of the park and was rewarded with an average rating of just 4.34/10 by fans on the BBC Sport website.
The ex-Arsenal youth player isn’t seen as a first choice player but has still managed to make 14 appearances so far this season, 7 of them in the Europa League, highlighting his importance to Steven Gerrard.
Some fans questioned whether or not Ross McCrorie – on-loan at Portsmouth – would’ve been more effective at Tynecastle due to Ryan Jack’s absence through injury. Rangers fans took to Twitter to discuss their midfield options and felt there were more factors that caused the dropped points rather than Kamara’s display.
Have a look at what they had to say about the result below…
In a game like yesterday with Jack out would McCrorie have been a better option than Kamara? McCrorie on the ball for me is way short of what is needed to play for us regularly but I would have him over Kamara at a place like Tynecastle.

we generally dominate possession in most games, that’s the weakest part of McCrorie’s game and the reason he went on loan to get games and improve passing. Not working out so far for him at Pompey

Kamara and Ojo want way too much time and Aribo on recent viewings. Jack massive miss Arfield needs pulled back into the middle was non existent yesterday. More tests will come when we go to livi, parkhead, easter road and pittodrie over the next few weeks

To be honest Kamara was looking for the ball, aribo I didn’t really notice him playing..I’d have waited 15 minutes into seeing half took off arfield, aribo and ojo for Stewart, Kent defoe

I think to be honest sunday was just a bad day thankfully we havnt had many this season so far..but i kinda do agree that we need someone who is just going to break things up in games like these

Said this my self. Loves a tackle and has a drive as well as passion when hes playing for us. 100% Agree.

With Kamara – 1 shot on target
With McCrorie – most likely 1 shot on target.
All ifs and buts of course but I think the problem lay with lacking creativity. Think Arfield playing deeper with Stewart inside right would have been the better shout— Bruce Russell (@BruceRussell86) October 21, 2019
