Rangers coach Michael Beale has been given a five-match ban by the Scottish FA over an incident in the Glasgow derby in December.
As reported by the Daily Record, he was involved in a disagreement with Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy in the home team’s technical area at Parkhead and, after the pair clashed, the ‘Gers man was dismissed by referee Kevin Clancy. Beale has been hit with a five-match suspension by the SFA, serving three of those immediately and two more at the end of the season.
The Daily Record also reported that Rangers’ technical director Tom Culshaw has been given a two-match suspension by the SFA over a confrontation during the 3-0 win at Hibernian in December, with one game to be served immediately and the other suspended to a later date. Hibs assistant manager John Potter, who was also involved in the incident, avoided a ban and was merely censured.
Should Gerrard be under pressure if Rangers don't win the league?
Yes
No
After the various punishments were confirmed, Rangers-focused Twitter account @4ladshadadream aired their displeasure over the sentences handed out.
It may just be me but somehow I don’t see how that punishment fits exactly https://t.co/N15VtWa4UU

These ‘Gers fans on Twitter were also unhappy about the disciplinary action taken by the SFA:
I thought that too then I remembered it’s one rule for Rangers and one rule for everybody else and that dignified silence will always fix it

It’s a disgrace. Time Rangers come out and do something about this. 5 matches? Unbelievable really.

The club need to fight back or this will continue to get worse. Corrupt to the core we all know it. If we don’t fight it is there any point anymore they will continue to walk all over us. Wish he just stamped on him

This is what silence has done for the club. Cups has didn’t even do anything wrong sfa are cheats plain and simple

Fits perfectly not the crime but the agenda!

That is completely outrageous

Farcical. And even more farcical if the board accept it given “other clubs” have recently received no punishment for players throwing items at fans and their bench ending up in an argument with said fan.
