Rangers: Fans hoping that deal can be done for Florian Kamberi as transfer talks held with Hibernian

A number of Rangers fans are hoping that the club can strike a deal for Florian Kamberi on transfer deadline day.

BBC reported that the Ibrox club are in talks with Hibernian over a possible loan move for the 24-year-old, although they claimed that a deal is still “some way from being concluded”, with the Easter Road outfit only likely to sanction his exit if it would suit them.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers could try to swoop for Livingston’s Lyndon Dykes if their pursuit of Kamberi is unsuccessful, with Steven Gerrard keen to add another forward to his squad after Jermain Defoe was ruled out for at least four weeks with a calf injury (as per The Scottish Sun).

The former Switzerland under-21 international has struck eight goals in 27 matches for Hibernian so far this season, five of which came in their run to the Betfred Cup semi-finals. He has an overall record of 30 goals in 84 appearances at the Edinburgh club since first joining them two years ago today.

These Rangers fans on Twitter made their feelings on the potential move for Kamberi quite clear, with one thinking he would be an upgrade on current ‘Gers forward Brandon Barker, who has scored just once this term:
