Josh Windass was never known for being social media savvy in his time at Rangers, but last night he went some way towards rebuilding his relationship with the Ibrox faithful when answering a question posed by the Soccer AM media team.

In answering “what is the best pre kick-off song in football?”, Windass responded simply with two emojis, signifying that his favourite is “The Blue Sea of Ibrox”, played every week when Rangers are at home just as the teams are coming out.
For a man who has previously come out with some hilarious gaffes – “I like omelettes but not eggs” – Windass displayed an uncanny level of social media savvy.
Rangers fans will still remember being “shooshed” by Windass, but it’s clear that he still has a soft spot for them.
Fans of the Ibrox club responded to Windass’ tweet with slightly less venom than he faced in his playing days.
