It was a frustrating night for Rangers fans as Steven Gerrard’s side were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock to drop eight points behind league leaders Heart of Midlothian, though perhaps it wasn’t all bad for the Gers against Steve Clarke’s men.
Clearly, Killie are a good side and while Greg Stewart’s leveller just 15 minutes into the game at Ibrox proved to be the final goal, the performance of one man in particular has been celebrated by Light Blues taking to social media last night.
Midfielder Andy Halliday, who hasn’t always been a regular under Gerrard, looks to have impressed for his combative display in the middle of the park alongside the likes of Scott Arfield and Lassana Coulibaly, perhaps giving his manager something to think about going forward.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how Rangers fans praised the 27-year-old, brought in from the cold after a bizarre loan spell in Azerbaijan last season.
Only positive out of tonight is Halliday again being absolutely solid in both positions he played. Boys takin his chance

Thought Andy Halliday was the best rangers player on the park tonight

Halliday is nowhere near as talented as the majority of the squad but when he’s one of our best players on the night give credit where it’s due instead of continuing to slag him because you’re jealous his dreams of playing for Rangers came true and your’s didn’t

ONE POSITIVE thing tonight is Andy Halliday and Tav defo worked on corners. Were much better deliveries….but I’m kinda clutching at straws a wee bit there
