Rangers could have extended their stay at the top of the Scottish Premier League with a win on Wednesday night, and it would have been perfect too seeing as Celtic dropped two points away at Motherwell. However, it wasn’t to be as their Ibrox clash with Aberdeen finished 1-0 to the Dandies as both sides had a man dismissed, and the Gers were far from happy as Morelos saw red.
63' RED: Morelos picks up a second yellow card and is sent off. 0-1

The Colombian striker is undoubtedly one of the best footballers in the Scottish Premier League. However, his temperament lets him down way more often than it should. In just 29 games this season the 22-year-old gas already been sent off three times. Twice of those have been against Aberdeen and it’s something that the striker will have to kick from his game if he does want to make it as a top striker in Europe.
Last night’s sending off was just ludicrous. After picking up what was a soft first booking, you’d think that the striker would be able to walk the line and play it safe. That just doesn’t happen with Alfredo Moreos, though, and it only took him another 20 minutes after half-time to have his name taken again as a second booking was shown and El Buffalo was sent packing. It’s a serious issue that Steven Gerrard will have to address, and if he doesn’t sort out his discipline then we could be seeing a whole lot more of Kyle Lafferty.

The Gers are rightly fuming with Morelos and will be hoping he can learn something as he serves yet another suspension.
