Many Rangers fans showered striker Alfredo Morelos with praise following his side’s 4-1 win against Hamilton in the Scottish Cup fifth round.
The blue half of Glasgow despatched the Accies as they booked their place in the last eight of the competition. Morelos scored Steven Gerrard’s side’s third of the game, which adds up to their 17th goal versus Hamilton, as per BBC Sport. The Colombian striker made their passage to the next round in the cup safe after what was a cagey affair with just five minutes to play, with the Liverpool-born boss conceding that the scoreline flattered them.
Morelos has 12 goals in 21 league appearances during the current campaign and has been a key figure of their side’s progression. He has received a lot of compliments from his teammates this season from the likes of James Tavernier and even from former Celtic player Sir Kenny Dalglish. Supporters were delighted with his outing and made their feelings clear on social media.
