Rangers: Fans react angrily as Gers announce fixture change

Loads of Rangers fans delivered negative responses after the club revealed a new kick-off time for the clash with St Mirren on March 22, which has been moved due to selection for television coverage, an official announcement confirmed.

You’ll be hard pushed to find a set of fans in the last 16 of the Europa League with less positivity than the Ibrox faithful right now, but they certainly have a fair excuse. The Gers have won just four of their last nine domestic matches, and the 1-0 defeat at Hearts this weekend has left their hopes of silverware in Steven Gerrard’s second season dangling by a thread.

Perhaps unsurprisingly then, the news that the Premiership clash at The Simple Digital Arena has been shifted into a TV coverage slot was met with jokes and ridicule from fans, with the match now taking place at 12:00 on Sunday March 22. The last visit to St Mirren ended 1-0 to the Light Blues thanks to Borna Barisic’s stunning free-kick, but fans don’t seem too optimistic about their next visit…
