Lots of Rangers fans have been discussing the news that Atletico Madrid are eyeing a ‘shock’ move for Alfredo Morelos, according to reports in Spain via The Daily Mail.
It seems Diego Simeone is hoping to build the most infuriating strike force of all time, as the report claims he is looking to add Morelos to Diego Costa in a bid to fix his side’s issues in front of goal. Atletico currently sit sixth in La Liga having scored just 31 goals in 27 top-flight matches, and to put that into perspective Morelos by himself has bagged 29 goals this season.
The Spanish giants are thus desperate to add firepower, and the report claims they are confident of signing Morelos for about £10-15m. The Gers signed the Colombia international for a fee of around £1m back in the summer of 2017, so it may well be hard to turn down a figure close to £15m, and the Twitter reactions down below are certainly ready to cash in…
