Rangers fans were reminiscing after some comments were made by former player Sone Aluko about the side’s 3-2 victory over their Old Firm rivals.
Looking back at the fixture from 2012, Aluko claimed that the Glasgow outfit played their ‘game of the season’ as they stopped their old foes from winning the Scottish Premiership title at their expense. It proved to be a titanic tussle between the two teams with both sides having men sent-off. Ally McCoist’s men took a 3-0 lead, however, threatened to let it slip as the opposition scored two late goals to give them a scare.
Aluko scored the opening goal of the fixture and claimed that it was one of the best strikes of his career (via Rangers). Supporters remembered the encounter with fondness as they took to Twitter to react to the club’s post of Aluko’s comments. Here is a selection of tweets from the Ibrox faithful:

The message is clear, you are going to win the title Celtic, but you are not going to win it here.👍🏻 https://t.co/b9xcYRx2Uy

Meanwhile, one fan remembered by comparing the 2012 side to the current crop of players.
@sonealuko should give the current crop a lesson on passion
