A number of Rangers fans have hailed top scorer Alfredo Morelos after a tweet he shared which showed him engaging in charity work in his native Colombia.
The 23-year-old has returned to his homeland to help out with his eponymous foundation and deliver food to people in the country who may have needed essential supplies during the coronavirus pandemic, as shown on @morelos2106 on Twitter.
Morelos tweeted a message in Spanish which, when translated, expresses the rewarding feeling of helping those in need and suggests that while ‘we earn a living from what we receive, we make life from what we give’.

This is not the first time that the Rangers forward’s philanthropic deeds have been publicised. During the SPFL’s winter break in January, he returned to his native country to help those living in poverty and Karina Ruiz Beleno, a Colombian journalist involved with the Alfredo Morelos Foundation, told the Daily Record that the player has given toys to children at Christmas in the last two years.
