Rangers fans were showing their support for James Tavernier after he released a statement amidst the nationwide lockdown.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday evening that people should only leave their homes should they need to, following the recent pandemic. The £5.4m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, player responded this afternoon as he released a statement urging the supporters to follow the government’s guidelines amid ‘a lot of uncertainty and worry’. But, he didn’t stop there and went on to talk about how the players were maintaining their fitness levels during the postponement of the football.
Tavernier hasn’t always been a popular figure among the Ibrox faithful, who on a number of occasions have lashed out at him following a poor campaign. Despite racking up 15 assists this season, he’s been at fault for goals in fixtures against Young Boys and Hearts during some poor performances.
