Rangers: Fans shower praise on Alfredo Morelos for charity contribution

Plenty of Rangers fans have been voicing their admiration for Alfredo Morelos after a video emerged online of the striker engaging in philanthropy in his native Colombia.

Twitter user @karinarb27, whose full name is Karito Ruiz Beleno and who is involved in the Alfredo Morelos Foundation, shared a video of the 23-year-old helping impoverished people in his hometown of Cerete.

As noted by the Daily Record, the video shows him handing out essential goods to the people of Cerete and merrily stopping for photos with many of the locals, with Morelos due to join up with his Rangers team-mates at their winter training camp in Dubai later this week having flown to his homeland to partake in a charity match for the foundation which bears his name.

The Colombian has had a chequered disciplinary record during his time in Scotland, with seven red cards since the beginning of the 2018/19 season and two in his last three Premiership games in December, but the video posted by @karinarb27 hints at the thoughtful and more gentle side to his personality.

These Rangers fans on Twitter unsurprisingly lauded Morelos upon seeing the footage of him involved in charity work in Colombia:
