Rangers have had some top players down the years, and as the club’s official Twitter account have been lauding one of them, the fans have also chimed in with their memories of a recent Rangers hero, Nikica Jelavic.

The reason behind the tweets is clear, nine years ago on the 20th August the Gers signed the Croatian striker, and what followed ensured that the frontman would go down as a hero at Ibrox as the now-33-year-old bagged 36 goals and 15 assists in 56 appearances for the club, Transfermarkt.
The Bluenoses, as you will see in the tweets included below, absolutely adored Jelavic during his time in Glasgow, and with the 33-year-old currently plying his trade at GZ Hengfeng, it seems that he could still do a job at Ibrox, seeing as he’s bagged five goals in 11 games for his current club this season.
You can read the Gers’ thoughts on Jelavic here:
What a player, for that first year.

The Bluenoses have an obvious love for the Croatian striker, and that’s hardly surprising given his hit rate for them as a player.
