Rangers fans take to Twitter to laud incredible Glen Kamara

After Rangers’ clash with Aberdeen yesterday, it can be easy to look at the Sky Sports Score Centre app and see that it was a 2-0 game won by two James Tavernier penalties and believe it was a tight game. However, it was far from that as Glen Kamara helped run the game for Steven Gerrard’s side and the Gers were left lauding their January coup.

Kamara joined the Bluenoses in the January transfer window after initially agreeing to sign for the club in the summer. That decision from both Dundee and Rangers looks to have been an amazing one too, as in his early days as a Ger, the 23-year-old workhorse has been absolutely incredible so far. Games like yesterday won’t see Kamara given much credit, but he was vital to their win.

The midfield double pivot of Kamara and Ryan Jack worked a treat yesterday. Steven Gerrard has been going into games with a new system recently. A 4-2-3-1 setup that saw Kamara and Jack at the base of midfield behind Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and Ryan Kent worked a treat and whilst they couldn’t bag from open play, the Gers were impressive throughout, and none shone brighter than their Finnish January signing.
