Nikola Katic hasn’t been getting the game time that the Gers believe he deserves as of late. The Bluenoses love seeing him feature for them and would much rather see him become their number one partner for Connor Goldson ahead of Joe Worrall. His start yesterday made it back-to-back 90-minute outings in the SPL, but he deserves a lot more.

Nikola Katic bagged Rangers’ third goal of the game yesterday against Hearts and his 3rd goal in the colours of his new club. The Bluenoses will be desperate for the Croatian to go on and bag many, many more goals in what they’re hoping will be a long career at Ibrox. At the age of just 22-years-old, the former Slaven Belupo stopper has done well when he’s played but has often been overlooked.
In place of Katic this season a lot of the time we’ve seen a starting partnership of Joe Worrall and Connor Goldson, but with Worrall going back to Nottingham Forest at the end of the season as his loan expires it will surely open up for Gerrard to get back to using Goldson and Katic again. That partnership worked early on as Stevie G navigated his way through the Europa League qualifiers and the Gers will want to see it again next season.

The Bluenoses love the idea of Katic starting every week and if he can keep scoring and playing well then it shouldn’t be too far away.
