Rangers fans were loving a photo that emerged on the club’s official Twitter account showing Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe celebrating together.

The Colombia international opened the scoring just before the stroke of half-time and appeared to celebrate his goal with the former England striker, who ended up being an unused substitute for the match.
Perhaps there could have been a call for Steven Gerrard to use his former international colleague as Morelos’ goal was not enough to pick up any of the points on Thursday night as Rangers suffered their first defeat in this year’s Europa League competition (TransferMarkt).
A number of the club’s supporters saw the photo on the club’s official Twitter account when it was posted at half time, which led to many of them sharing the love for the prolific duo.
Both men have been in the goals for the Gers this season, with Morelos leading the charts with 14 in 18 appearances, while the experienced Defoe is second in the list with nine from his 13 matches so far (TransferMarkt).
Fans appeared to suggest the arrival of the 36-year-old has helped to change the Colombian for the better, with one describing him as a ‘masterstroke’, while others lauded the relationship between the two strikers.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Master stroke by Gerrard bringing in Defoe, talking to Alfie, calming him down.. Scoring goals himself as well.
