Steven Gerrard has revealed that more transfer news should be expected at Glasgow Rangers over the next few days after the arrival of Scott Wright.
Gerrard teases more arrivals
Speaking prior to the Gers’ match against Hibernian on Wednesday, Gerrard teased updates on potential new arrivals. He revealed:
“We’re hoping to have some more news in the coming days about certain situations that we’ve been looking into but at the moment I can’t really give you any more on that.”
Gerrard was surely in part alluding to Simpson when he mentioned he would have some news soon, but it seems he was insinuating there could be developments on other players as well given that he said “situations” plural. One of those could be Nnamdi Ofoborh, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox (The Daily Record).
Are you happy with the arrival of Simpson?
Preston North End pair Daniel Johnson and Ben Davies have too been mentioned regarding a move north of the border (Football Insider). Given the nature of the Simpson and Wright deals, it is clear that Gerrard and Ross Wilson are planning for the future. This can only be good news for the 54-time Scottish champions.
In other news, Rangers fans slam the SFA after this decision.
