Rangers have been credited with an interest in Aberdeen’s Lewis Ferguson according to a report in The Scottish Sun and are considering a move in the January transfer window.
Indeed, the rumour seemingly isn’t in isolation. That’s because Gers midfielder, Glen Kamara, has been watched by several English teams (per the Scotsman) in recent weeks and Ferguson is being lined up as his replacement should the Ibrox club cash-in on their £50k purchase from Dundee.
Kamara is a key player for Rangers at present, featuring in 20 games so far this season, earning praise from the likes of Michael Stewart. Still, with the club reportedly braced for transfer interest in January, Ferguson is understood to have emerged as a potential replacement.
So, with that in mind, Rangers fans took to Twitter to express their concern about the potential transfer and raised doubts about his ability to replace a player of Kamara’s quality.
Lewis Ferguson for maybe 1.5 million aye but cant see the sheep selling him for that, hes still very rough round the edges but hes a midfielder that scores goals and he would improve under us. Is he better than Docherty though? Not sure currently….

Nowhere near good enough for us. Aberdeen is his level.

As young homegrown midfielders in Scotland go, Lewis Ferguson is at or near the top. Sheep would demand a king’s ransom tho so can’t see it happening

Not in same mould as Kamara. If it’s a replacement we’re looking for he is not it.

What’s everybody’s thoughts on Lewis Ferguson? Thought he’s had some good performances against us but don’t think he’s any better than what we have.
