Rangers set to scout Adam Buksa

Steven Gerrard

There can not be anything more infuriating for Rangers fans at the moment than Alfredo Morelos. His ability cannot be doubted, however, his discipline and self-control is something that leaves supporters with plenty to be desired.

His future at the club is far from clear at the moment, with a number of clubs thought to be interested in him, and it appears Steven Gerrard has started to look at potential replacements for the hot-headed Colombian.

What’s the News?

Football Insider are claiming the Scottish Premiership have jetted out to Poland to scout Adam Buksa.

The 22-year-old has been impressive for Pogon Szczecin this season, as he has nine goals in 18 league matches, whilst he has 13 goals and six assists in his 31 total appearances.

His impressive form saw him called into Poland’s senior side as well, however, he is yet to make his debut for them.

The Verdict:

With Morelos looking destined to leave Ibrox in the summer, it would make complete sense for Rangers to start looking at alternative options.

Buksa could be the ideal forward to replace the Colombian as he has shown that he can be rather prolific in front of goal and could still continue to develop into a fine player, given that he is still relatively young.

The fact that he has been called up to the Poland national team should speak volumes to how much potential he has, especially considering they have the talented likes of Robert Lewandowski, Krzysztof Piatek and Arkadiusz Milik to choose from.

Buksa is not likely to cost Rangers the earth, whilst Morelos is expected to bring them a rather exciting fortune, and it could be a worthwhile risk for the Scottish Premiership club to take in the summer.

Rangers fans, what do you make of Buksa? Do you think he could be the answer to replacing Morelos in the summer? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
