Rangers overcame East Fife in the Scottish League Cup round of 16 on Sunday, setting up a tie against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Stadium in the last eight, however, it’s not a draw the fans want, as the Tony Macaroni has a plastic pitch.

It was back in August last year when Rangers’ winger Jamie Murphy was sidelined for the entire season after suffering a knee ligament injury in a win at Kilmarnock, another ground that uses artificial turf, and Steven Gerrard criticised that very fact, via BBC.
Now it seems that the Bluenoses are set to do it all over again and travel to Livingston, although from the tweets below, it’s very clear that the supporters are not one bit happy to be facing off away from home on a pitch that’s artificial.

The Gers, as you can clearly see, are far from happy and now it’s just about getting through Livingston and into the last four of the League Cup without any injuries.
