Rangers would be silly to axe these 2 players this month – Agreed?

Losing three times so far to bitter rivals Celtic in a season hasn’t really gone down too well amongst the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, though they do believe Mark Warburton has done a good job on the whole.

Such is the vast gulf between the two right now, the Gers who frequent our four walls in their droves are realistic in that they know it will probably take a few seasons to really catch up with the Bhoys over the course of a whole campaign.

Though not all of the summer signings to have arrived at Ibrox have worked out as of yet, particularly a certain Joey Barton, a lot of the fans in the Tavern are happy with the majority of their squad right now.

Still, considering the time of year it is, rumours and reports are always likely to churn through the proverbial mill. Welcome or not, it’s just a fact.

Considering all of this, here are TWO players Rangers would be stupid to axe this month.

Martyn Waghorn

After such a wonderfully prolific campaign in the Scottish Championship last time out, Martyn Waghorn’s struggles to break into the first-team often enough this term have come as somewhat of a surprise.

Still, the 26-year-old is a decent option to have on the bench and provides a nice alternative to the likes of Kenny Miller, meaning the SPFL outfit should ignore links with moves away.

Clint Hill

Eyebrows were raised when Rangers opted to bring 38-year-old veteran defender Clint Hill north of the border initially, though he’s proved to be a good addition to the backline.

He brings a useful defensive nous and reports linking with him a move back to QPR should be quashed imminently.
