Real Madrid: Fans make their feelings clear on Thibaut Courtois

Real Madrid slumped to defeat against RCD Mallorca on Saturday evening.

Los Blancos have now been overtaken at the top of the La Liga by fierce rivals Barcelona, after the Catalans brushed aside Eibar 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The table is still extremely tight, however, with just one point separating the two Spanish titans as things stand. It would have made for an exceptional El Clasico next weekend, had the hugely anticipated tie not been postponed due to recent political protests in Catalonia.

Madrid will now be looking to return to winning ways against Galatasaray on Tuesday night, when they visit the Turkish giants in the Champions League.

After Saturday’s loss, Real keeper Thibaut Courtois admitted that he felt his side were not clinical enough in the final third and missed the chance to equalise straight after Junior Lago had put Mallorca in front inside the opening seven minutes at the Iberostar Estadi (as shown in the video below).
