Real Madrid haven’t had the best of starts to their new campaign.
Los Blancos are yet to see star summer signing Eden Hazard in domestic action, while injuries to the likes of Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, James Rodriguez and Luka Modric, are also taking their toll on the La Liga giants.
Zinedine Zidane’s men have won only one of their opening three league matches and head into this weekend’s clash against Levante with yet another injury to contend with – summer signing Luka Jovic has reportedly picked up a knock whilst on international duty.
“Luka Jovic will not be available to coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic for a match against Luxembourg due to injury,” reads a statement on the Serbian Football Federation’s official website.
It continues: “Last night, at the game against Portugal, Jovic renewed the injury he came with in preparation for the national team and after further examination and consultation with the national team doctor and club doctor, it was determined that he would not be able to continue preparations and play in the match against Luxembourg.”
The 21-year-old could now miss Madrid’s upcoming match against Levante this weekend. As you can imagine, the news went down a storm with fans on Twitter…
